THE BEACHES

We can say that Pontal de Maceio offers several beaches with different atmospheres.

The main beach, place of all events but also the most touristy due to its beach barracas where you can have lunch there to the sound of the ocean and the coming and going of the jangadas (typical fishing boats).
The lighthouse beach, the village’s kitesurfing spot.
Aiguilles beach, definitely the wildest of all where during the week you will be alone in the world, 3.5 km long, it leads to the Rio Pirangi.
Barra beach, on the river, the most popular, on weekends the few beach barracas fill with tourists and locals.

THE VILLAGE

At nightfall (here the sun always sets early) the village square comes alive, the church opens its doors and the children invade the play area made available to them.
Caipirinhas (local cocktail), skewers and all the restaurants on the square are ready to welcome you. A very family, musical atmosphere, especially on weekends.
